Always Enough Time

"There is always enough time to do God's will."-Elisabeth Elliott

This is a good quote, especially for us moms. I find myself so incredibly busy sometimes, that I get overwhelmed and then it's hard to do anything at all. But as one woman said recently, I need to take a step back and look at my life. What unnecessary things am I doing that are taking up my time so I am not getting the important things done? At this point in my life, I know for a fact that it is God's will that I am a wife, supporting my husband by making his home a more pleasant place to be (cleaning the house), supporting my hubby spiritually, physically and emotionally as well (taking time to be with him, and engage in profitable conversation), it is God's will that I raise my children in Godliness (caring for their physical needs, and consistantly disciplining, being an example of Christ for them), it is God's will that I care for my personal needs (keeping myself attractive for my husband, taking care of my body so I can care for everything else, and caring for my spiritual needs by constant prayer and studying God's Word), and my ministry to the body of Christ (for me, that means coordinating the nursery). Everything else is secondary. Everything else can wait, or not be done at all. I need to remember that.

Amen to this post. I know it's an old one, but I definitely needed to hear it tonight.

I'm glad you were blessed! This is definitely one I need to remind myself of often.
