Mathison on Postmillennialism

A defense of postmillennialism? Who would be optimistic enough to write such a book at the end of the twentieth century? how could anyone actually believe in postmillennialism, especially in light of two world wars, the Holocaust, the atomic bomb, and ethnic cleansing? Just look around you! How can you read today's newspaper and say that the gospel is going to prevail? My response to questions like these is, how can you read the Bible and say that the gospel is not going to prevail? Since when did the newspaper become our authority for doctrine? -Keith A.
